The short version: the DSP plugins collect nothing. No telemetry, no analytics, no phone-home inside any YY DSP plugin. What we do collect, we collect on the website, and it’s minimal. VoxStage, our voice-driven console copilot, is the one product that can optionally talk to a cloud service — Section 3 explains exactly when, and how to keep it fully local.

1. What we collect

E-mail address — when you download the Free Suite, join a waitlist, ask for a VoxStage trial, or make a purchase. Used for delivering downloads, license keys, trial keys and product news you can unsubscribe from in one click.
Purchase records — name, e-mail, product, and the license key we issued. Kept as long as your license is valid, because they are your proof of license.
Reviews — the name you enter, your rating and text (published after a check), and your e-mail (never shown; used for a thank-you note, and for news only if you tick the box).
Basic website statistics — aggregate page counts. No advertising trackers, no data sale, ever.

2. What we never see

Payments are processed by FastSpring (Bright Market, LLC d/b/a FastSpring, fastspring.com) as the authorized reseller and merchant of record. Your card or bank details go to FastSpring, not to us. FastSpring’s privacy policy applies to the payment transaction: fastspring.com/privacy

3. The software itself

YY DSP plugins (SC-16, TZ-12, SC-1, the PX series and the Free Suite) run entirely on your machine. They do not transmit audio, usage data, or diagnostics. License keys, including subscription keys, are checked locally against a signed key file. The plugins never contact our servers.

VoxStage voice control. VoxStage can operate in two modes. In on-device mode, speech recognition runs locally on your computer and no audio leaves it. In cloud mode, the audio of each spoken command (from the engineer’s microphone, or from a musician’s phone in SelfMix) is sent over an encrypted connection to VoxCloud, our relay server hosted by Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland (EU), which passes it to Google’s Gemini API to recognize the command and produce a reply. VoxCloud does not store audio or what was said; its technical log keeps the license identifier, time, language and request sizes to enforce fair-use limits and stop abuse. VoxStage does not record your audio. Google acts as a third-party processor under its applicable API terms.

Recording-consent notice. In cloud mode, any sound your microphone picks up — which in a live or rehearsal environment may include other people’s voices — is transmitted to Google. Some U.S. states (for example California, Florida, Illinois, and Pennsylvania) require the consent of all parties to record or transmit a conversation. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required in your location before enabling cloud mode in a shared space.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate (payment and tax handling: FastSpring; e-mail delivery; VoxCloud hosting: Hetzner; cloud speech processing in VoxStage cloud mode: Google) and when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal data.

5. Your rights

You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time (note: deleting purchase records voids our ability to verify your license). EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR; California residents under CCPA. Use the contact form.
